Who can attend classes?
Classes can be attended by anyone of all abilities over 11 years of age.
Can I watch a class before I join?
We welcome prospective new students to come along to observe a lesson in progress and meet the instructor to help you decide if our club is right for you.
What should I wear to the classes?
Initially a t-shirt and jogging trousers or track suit trousers without zips is sufficient, along with either a clean pair of trainers to change into to protect our matted training area or you can train barefoot. Uniforms are included in our New Student Membership Packs or can be purchased separately (see our Price List and Pricing Policy). Please note that a different t-shirt is required for Dacayana Eskrima classes if you wish to grade in this system.
Is there a fee to join Ronin Freestyle Martial Art?
A small fee is required, for this you get student membership status of Ronin Freestyle and the British Martial Arts and Boxing Association, a licence and grading book and free member to member insurance. You may attend up to four lessons without obligation to purchase membership.
Do I need any special equipment or clothing?
For your own health & safety it is imperative that you use the correct equipment when training, where possible we will provide this during classes however you may wish to purchase your own as you progress, please refer to our Sparring Policy for further information. All clothing and equipment can be supplied via Ronin Freestyle for your convenience, please refer to our Pricing Policy.
Are there any rules and regulations that I should abide by when attending classes? Please refer to our club ethics.
Can I arrange private tuition? Please call or email Ant, lessons can be arranged at a time and location to suit both parties.
Private tuition is offered for Freestyle Kempo, Jujitsu, kickboxing, Jeet Kune Do and Kali concepts, Dacayana Eskrima/Arnis and Kali Arnis or bespoke training to meet your specific requirements.
